Sunset Maternity Session on Georgian Bay [Parry Sound]

On the Monday of the May long weekend, I joined Rayna, Rob, and Nikki at Moon River Marina. From there, we took a boat out to Nikki’s parents' cottage which is a special place for their family and the perfect backdrop for their maternity session.
We started with photos of Nikki and Rob on the beach, bathed in the warm, golden sunset light. Then their sweet 3-year-old, Rayna, joined in. It was especially meaningful for me as just a few years ago, I had photographed Nikki and Rob’s first maternity session when they were expecting Rayna. And now, here we were, documenting the next chapter.
We explored the beach, had a tiny tea party tucked into the rocks, and let the cool Georgian Bay breeze add a little wild magic to the evening (despite the 11° chill!). As the sun dipped lower, we moved to the grass for a few final shots in the soft evening light. And just before the sun disappeared behind the trees, Nikki stepped into the water in her dress. Rayna joined her shortly after, and it turned into such a beautiful, heartfelt moment.
Truly one of those evenings that makes me so grateful to do what I do.
