C&B's Rainy Georgian Bay Engagement Session [Parry Sound]

Some sessions don’t go as planned—and those are often the ones that end up being the most memorable.

Carissa & Blake’s engagement shoot down by Georgian Bay definitely didn’t kick off with golden-hour sunshine. We started out a bit late, waiting out a storm with thunder rumbling on the horizon and rain coming down hard. For a moment, we weren’t sure if it would even happen.

But then the skies started to settle & then was just a light drizzle, so we decided to go for it.

We hiked the rugged trail down to the beach and as soon as we found our spot, we got a brief break in the rain. Just enough time to lean into those cozy, windswept moments that only a moody day on the bay can give you. The mist, the textures, the wild vibe—it all just worked.

And then, of course, the rain came back. A little heavier this time. But Carissa & Blake? Total champs. Laughing through it, embracing the chaos, and letting me capture the raw and real. Honestly, some of my favorite shots came from those in-between, rain-soaked moments.

Sessions like these are such a reminder: sometimes the imperfect conditions lead to the most honest, beautiful memories.
